Let's talk about something that is important to a lot of people...your smile! I dont know about you but my smile is something that I use EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Not only is my smile important for my career, but it is personally important to my appearance.


The Beginning of My Smile Journey

I was lucky enough to get braces in middle school, during my already very awkward teen phase, and were taken out right before I started my Freshman year of high school. Thank Jesus. Soon after, I realized how big a part my smile would play in my life. 

I have always received compliments on my smile, some even voted it the best physical feature on myself. They didn't actually vote, it was more of a mental note. Lol  
My point is, I quickly became a fan of teeth whitening. Being as though I was in high school, I didn't have tons of money to shell out on the best whitening system during the time, and honestly there weren't many options in 2009. 

The very first teeth whitening system I tried was Crest Whitening Strips. I feel like everyone should know what these are, but if not, they are very affordable and easy to use. I would buy mine from my closest Walmart and pop them in for literally only 30 minutes a night. However, the strips were hard to keep in your mouth, made my gums EXTREMELY sensitive (im talking it hurt to drink water), and you couldn't really leave the house or talk without looking like a crazy person. Lol

Step 1: Mold Your Trays

So the entire kit gets shipped right to your door! The first step is to take the catalyst paste and base paste that is included in the kit and create a molding of your teeth. It sounds scary, but takes 10 minutes tops! 

Step 2: Ship Your Molding's Back to Smile Brilliant

Once you have molded your teeth, you send them right back to Smile Brilliant so they can create your whitening trays. They even include a mailer to send them right back- just throw them in your mailbox. The shipping is super fast too- so you receive your trays back in just a matter of days! 

Step 3: Start Whitening! 

Once you get your trays back, you can start whitening! The kit comes with both whitening gel and desensitizing gel that you put a thin layer of on the trays. You can whiten your teeth anywhere between 45 minutes to 3 hours, so it really depends on your preference and just how white you desire your teeth to be.


 One thing that I really loved about this system is that the trays themselves look very natural. I literally would go do my errands in town while whitening my teeth at the same time. No one even noticed and it was very convenient for my schedule! The best time to use the trays is at night before bed. I would typically go about my normal bed time routine, wash my face & make sure everything is ready for my next work day, and then set aside an hour, or three, for whitening so that when it was time for bed all I needed to do was brush my teeth! Super easy! 

After only 2 weeks of using the system, my friends and family noticed the results as well. They complimented the radiance of my teeth, without even telling them I've been whitening. (You already know Im singing "my shiny teeth and me" from Fairly Odd Parents. Just me? ok....) hahaha
